Job Description

Seeking entry-level engineer for our St. Louis office. The recent college graduate candidate must have BS in Engineering, and interest in one or more of the following technical requirements.

Technical Requirements -

-         PLC programming (Modicon or Allen Bradley)

-         HMI/SCADA programming (Wonderware, RS View, or Intellution)

-         Industrial Process Databases (Proficy Historian, InSQL)

Additional Requirements –

-         Bachelor of Science in engineering.  Electrical or mechanical preferred.

-         Understanding of networks, operating systems, and Internet communications.

-         Able to manage time and set priorities, to complete projects within schedule.

-         Self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Job Purpose:

Produces & installs automation engineering designs, programs and modifications by identifying project objectives and issues; researching and developing automation engineering concepts and techniques; verifying and validating plans; supporting project implementation.

Markets include manufacturing and process systems, flow-line production, numerical control, robotics, information control systems, material handling, group technology, and flexible manufacturing. 

Duties:

Develop engineering designs and programs by researching, analyzing, selecting, and applying automation concepts, approaches, and techniques.

Adapting and modify automation engineering options; developing and evaluating new automation engineering architectures and algorithms.  Prepare drawings, schematics, diagrams, scripts, and programs.  Collaborate with related engineering design teams and external system suppliers.  Identify and resolve design integration/interface issues.  Verify and validate design performance by performing programming simulations.  Write test scripts; build and test models and simulations.  Perform diagnostic procedures and analyze test data.  Identify, isolate, and resolve performance problems.  Document engineering designs and programs by recording automation engineering design features, functions, operational requirements, and warnings.
