Seeking qualified Controls Engineer candidates for our St. Louis office with a willingness to travel. The qualified candidate must have BS in Engineering. Candidate must demonstrate a sincere interest in automation including one or more of the following:
- ∙ PLC programming (Rockwell and Siemens)
- ∙ HMI / SCADA programming (Wonderware, RS View, FactoryLink, WinCC, Intellution)
- ∙ Electrical Design, PLC schematics, 480V one lines, MCC and risers.
Produces & installs automation engineering designs, programs and modifications by Identifying project objectives and issues; researching and developing automation engineering concepts and techniques; verifying and validating plans; supporting project implementation.
Develop engineering designs and programs by researching, analyzing, selecting, and applying automation engineering concepts, standards approaches, techniques to control systems, material handling, and flexible manufacturing. Adapting and modifying automation engineering options; developing and evaluating new automation engineering architectures and algorithms; preparing drawings, schematics, diagrams, scripts, and programs; collaborating with related engineering design teams and external system suppliers; evaluating components, materials, and suppliers; identifying and resolving design integration/interface issues; determining and establishing automation design specifications.
Verifies and validates design performance by establishing reliability, maintainability, writing test scripts; building and testing models and simulations; performing diagnostic procedures; conducting compatibility evaluations; analyzing test data; identifying, isolating, and resolving performance problems.
Documents engineering designs and programs by recording automation engineering design features, functions, operational requirements, and warnings; specifying operational training; detailing safety and support requirements.
Prepares automated web reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing automation engineering design data and trends.
